UPSC CMS Selection Process 2024:
Written Exam: The written exam consists of six papers, each carrying a specific number of marks. The total marks for the written exam amount to 1000. The details of the papers are as follows:
- Paper I: General English (Maximum Marks: 100)
- Paper II: General Studies (Maximum Marks: 100)
- Paper III: General Economics-I (Maximum Marks: 200)
- Paper IV: General Economics-II (Maximum Marks: 200)
- Paper V: General Economics-III (Maximum Marks: 200)
- Paper VI: Indian Economics (Maximum Marks: 200)
Interview: Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for a viva-voce, which is an interview process. The viva-voce carries a maximum of 200 marks.

How to apply:
- Registration at One Time Registration (OTR) Platform:
- Candidates must register themselves at the OTR platform on the UPSC website.
- OTR registration is a one-time process and can be done anytime throughout the year.
- If already registered, candidates can proceed directly to filling up the online application.
Modification in OTR Profile:
- Changes in OTR profile data are allowed only once in a lifetime.
- The option for modification in OTR profile data is available until 7 days from the next day after the closure of the application window for the first final application.
Modification in Application Form:
- Candidates can make corrections in any field of the application form within 7 days from the date of opening of the modification window.
- Any changes in the OTR profile during this period should be done through the OTR platform.
Withdrawal of Application:
- Candidates are not allowed to withdraw their applications after submission.
Required Details:
- Candidates should have details of one Photo ID Card such as Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, or any other Photo ID Card issued by the State/Central Government.
- The details of the Photo ID Card must be provided while filling up the online application form.
- A scanned copy of the Photo ID Card mentioned in the application form must be uploaded.
- This Photo ID Card will be used for all future references and candidates are advised to carry it while appearing for the Examination/Personality Test.
