CTET July 2024 Eligibility
CTET Primary Level -
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEd): This means that candidates need to have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education program, with at least 50% marks in their senior secondary examination.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEd), in accordance with the NCTE Regulations, 2002: Similar to the first criteria, but here the minimum marks required in senior secondary are 45%, in accordance with the regulations set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) in 2002.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed): This criterion pertains to candidates who have completed or are in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education program, with at least 50% marks in their senior secondary examination.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education): This applies to candidates who have completed or are in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education program with a focus on Special Education, with at least 50% marks in their senior secondary examination.
CTET Junior Level -
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DEd): Candidates should have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education program, along with a graduation degree.
At least 50% marks either in Graduation or in Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed): Candidates need to have either 50% marks in their graduation or post-graduation, along with having completed or being in the final year of a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) program.
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Regulations: Similar to the previous criterion, but here, the minimum marks required in graduation are 45%, and the B.Ed program should be in accordance with the regulations set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed): Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their senior secondary examination and have completed or be in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education program.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed: Similar to the previous criterion, but here, candidates should have completed or be in the final year of a 4-year integrated Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science Education program.
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year B.Ed. (Special Education): Candidates should have at least 50% marks in their graduation and have completed or be in the final year of a B.Ed program with a specialization in Special Education.
Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE: Candidates who have completed a B.Ed program recognized by the NCTE are eligible to appear in the TET/CTET.
Post-Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed: Candidates should have a post-graduation degree with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade, and they should have completed or be in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed program.
